housing and accommodation. With a budgeted Turnover of 24 million my
client specialises in providing affordable housing for those in greatest need
and to deliver high quality client-centred housing management and care
services.

Deputising the
Director of Finance, your main responsibility will be to lead the
organisations financial management, operating performance monitoring and
financial information systems.
To develop strategies on performance
improvement, value for money, resource allocation and appropriate financial
and non financial KPIs.

Responsibilities

Γ- Maintain & develop business and investment plans
that reflect organisational priorities and provide an affordable way
forward.
Γ- Ensure the effective management of the finance department
including staff appraisals and department initiatives.
Γ- Lead the
budgeting process with appropriate overviews and risk
analysis.
Γ- Ensure the information systems are kept up to date,
relevant and provide a good measure of operating performance.
Γ- Develop
and maintain partnership with all customer departments taking a hold on
operating issues.
Γ- Develop solutions with operating department
managers to correct or improve current operating performances.
Γ- Ensure
an effective and efficient service delivery, through the management of the
strategic financial management team and provide continuous review and
improvement of accounting records and other information
systems.
Γ- Maintain the chart of accounts to show relevance to
organisational needs and to meet statutory and regulatory
requirements.
Γ- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management
accounts.
Γ- Lead the preparation of annual accounts for audit and
manage the audit process.
Γ- Liaison with internal and external
auditors.
Γ- Work with the housing management to provide a customer
focussed financial plan to deliver high quality cost effective
services.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant
with working knowledge of business planning, management accounting, financial
accounting and performance management. You will have a proven track
record of leadership, decision making, change management and development of
innovative solutions within a fast paced changing environment. Housing
Association experience would be desirable although not essential. The
