The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation of a comprehensive range of finance reports to support the strategic direction for the service and to ensure that resources are effectively utilised to enable the specialties to meet their objectives within available resources.
Roles / Responsibilities:
To provide and present comprehensive financial management information and advice to senior members of the finance team to inform decision-making. This includes developing integrated performance reports, including analysis of trends and forecasting. Ensure the monthly budget reports for the Division are produced within the agreed timetable and are robust and take account of all necessary financial adjustments. Understanding the key drivers of the underlying financial position and being responsible for communicating these effectively to budget holders. Provide advice to managers to take corrective action as necessary including identifying opportunities for reducing expenditure.
Skills / Experience:
Confidence in presenting financial information to a senior audience. Chair Finance meetings within the Division. Ability to coach budget holders and provide teaching seminars to groups of budget holders
Education / Professional Qualifications:
Completion of CCAB recognised accountancy qualification (fully qualified Chartered Accountant)
