Job Description:

The role of Finance Manager is to manage the finance function on a day-to-day basis, produce the monthly and annual management accounts, develop the finance team, develop and improve internal and external reporting systems and controls and, to assist the Head of Finance in setting the finance strategy.

Roles / Responsibilities:

The management and motivation of 3 full time members of staff
Producing and monitoring the annual budgets
Producing and presenting the monthly management information pack
Provide detailed variance analysis with commentaries on a monthly basis
Support the Head of Finance in the production of business plans and by producing detailed financial analysis of new business initiatives
Continually developing the finance function, improving systems and controls and, promoting principles of best practice
Preparing papers for Board and Committee meetings
Ad hoc project work as required by the Head of Finance

Skills / Experience:

Experience of the development and management of staff

An experienced Management Accountant

Experience of working in a charity would be of benefit, albeit not a requirement

Education / Professional Qualifications:

Fully qualified accountant

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent

Personal Attributes:

Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised

Confident and outgoing with strong communication skills
