Job Description:

The prime function of this role is to bring an experienced project mindset to this initiative in order to ensure effective organisational change, and to facilitate and challenge subject matter experts within finance, operations and IT. An ongoing daily focus on project delivery to established deadlines is therefore essential.



Roles / Responsibilities:

The goal for the immediate scope of work is meaningful reduction in manual journal entries in the UK and subsequently the successful growth and acceptance of the Cash products systems infrastructure within the Asia-Pacific offices.

  • Project manage first phase of the `manual entries¿ project (Cash products)
  • Operate as key point of communication between finance / product control, operations and IT
  • Facilitate and deliver key project documentation - design specifications, plans, status updates, testing strategy, UAT scripts, Business controls & procedures etc.
  • Ensure momentum, structure, alignment and progress across all deliverables
  • Provide clear, consistent, concise and relevant information to all project stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Ensure alignment with wider (i.e. global) manual entries cleanup initiatives
  • Ensure alignment with wider finance transformation programme



Skills / Experience:

  • Experienced finance transformation project manager and business analyst
  • MS Project / Visio / Excel
  • System configuration and testing
  • Strong familiarity with daily reporting and product control environments in wholesale banking / brokerage
  • High level of comfort working in a solution design capacity in a (semi-) automated, business-event driven accounting / middleware / business rules environment


Education / Professional Qualifications:

A Qualified Accountant - CIMA,ACCA or ACA.

  • Extensive experience of the project managing full project life cycle within the financial services industry
  • Experienced change manager
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - one to one / formal presentations / regular engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels and locations across the organisation
  • Highly capable and experienced in delivering the key elements of a knowledge-based organisation (people, process and technology focused in equal measure)
  • Analytical mindset: identification and facilitation of issues, communication, definition and selection of appropriate solutions
  • Self starter, goal-driven, accountability-focused / proactive trouble shooter
  • Disciplined, structured and hands-on approach
  • Happy with occasional travel
