A London-based advertising agency which services some of the most recognised brand names in the UK are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their fast-paced, focused finance function. This client prides themselves in their growing business and their increasingly impressive client portfolio.
Job Description:
The Sales Ledger Clerk will be required to:
Join a team of 3 currently working together on the Sales Ledger function.
Liaise with the rest of the financial team and especially the credit control team
Report to the Sales Ledger Manager.
Roles / Responsibilities:
The Sales Ledger Clerk will have the following responsibilities
Updating client details on the system
Setting up new accounts on the system
Liaising with Credit Control to ensure credit checks are run on new clients
Processing and sending out a large volume of invoices
Dealing with cash allocation
Investigation of unidentified and unprocessed cash
Assisting with monthly reconciliations of accounts
Processing credit notes
Liaise with credit control to set up and finalise payment plans
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Skills / Experience:
The Sales Ledger Clerk will be required to have the following experience
Experience working in a Sales Ledger Function within a finance department dealing with some of the following:
Large volume of invoices
Liaising with credit control
Cash allocation
Knowledge of an accounting package.
Excel knowledge (Spreadsheets and Formulas)
Education / Professional Qualifications:
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with at least a C in Maths and English.
This role will be suitable for a non-studier or someone pursuing AAT
