Financial Reporting Analyst

Global media retail brand with a world-renowned name is currently looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join the retail, touring and concession division, following another successful acquisition. This is a vital and supporting role to the Financial Controller and will involve completing all the Financial Reporting as well as the Financial Business Partner in a varied and commercial role.

Job Description:

To complete all monthly Financial Reporting functions and act as a Financial Business Partner to the Touring, Retail & Concessions Businesses. To provide support to the Financial Controller and business support to the Operations teams within the businesses. To manage and provide direction for the Finance team and take full responsibility for deliverables in this area

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Preparation/reporting of monthly financial package & financial commentary.
• Reporting/consolidation of monthly results, quarterly forecasts, annual budget - via Hyperion (head office reporting).
• Detailed variance investigations into monthly actual & forecast results compared to budget for the income statement, balance sheet & cashflow.
• Liaison with Global consolidation department in NY.
• Review of central accounts, general ledger/reconciliations/calculations of provisions
• Working to relevant US/French GAAP requirements
• Management Reporting/analyses/reports for the Ops & Finance functions & preparation of departmental presentations
• Hyperion/Navision super user: maintenance of global dimensions & posting group set ups 

Skills / Experience:

• Experience of managing month end ¿ including understanding of a full profit and loss account and balance sheet and ability to judge the right commercial decisions to make
• Ability to implement business and operational systems
• Ability to work under pressure and experience working in a fast-moving environment
• Strong accounting, IT and analytical skills, Proficient in Excel (to macro level) ,
• Navision , Hyperion , Business Warehouse/Access , Microsoft office systems
• Strong proven relationship-building skills
• Good communicator across all levels of the business
• Ideally experience working in a media/retail or similar environment
• Assisting in ensuring the statutory accounts are completed based on economic accounts & statutory adjustments.
• Assisting auditors re: year-end process, i.e. Management Accounts, final Statutory Accounts, internal controls processes

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA finalist/qualified
• Good academic background & strong analytical skills
