An established and innovative Advertising Agency who are viewed as being a the top of their market, require an Accounts Assistant to manage an expanding work load in the management accounts team
Job Description:
The Accounts Assistant will cover all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions, reporting to the Financial Controller. The duties will cover:
Roles / Responsibilities:
Preparation of accruals and prepayments.
Maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
Bank reconciliation of 6 bank accounts including accounts in Euro and USD.
Managing the full purchase ledger process from matching batching and coding to reconciling supplier statements.
Processing employee expenses.
Producing monthly reports on expenses and performing analysis.
Raising sales invoices, allocating payments, sending out supplier statements.
Assisting with credit control duties.
Managing the petty cash.
Credit control and processing of receipts
Skills / Experience:
The successful candidate will count these amongst their skills and attributes:
Thorough understanding of double entry bookkeeping & basic accounts processes.
Experience of working within a commercial finance team.
Strong academics with a degree and plans to undertake professional accounting qualifications.
Good knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and formulas.
Competent in Word and Microsoft Outlook
Highly organised with an attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
