Group Accountant

An exciting and growing Brand Management company based in the fashionable West End are looking for a Group Accountant to join their Revenue and Analysis team. Due to a 5 year aggressive plan in place, the Group Accountant is a newly developed role. 

Reporting to the Revenue and Analysis Controller and managing two direct reports you will be in a pivotal role Group role managing the consolidation of that accounts from 3 different countries.

 

Job Description:

• Line management of Central Services Administrator and Assistant Accountant
• Preparation and review of cash flow forecasts to facilitate efficient cash management
• Review invoice coding and authorise invoices for payment

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Review payment runs for accuracy and compliance with authorisation procedures, performing funds checking against upcoming commitmentsManagement of month end timetable
• Prepare consolidated accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
• Prepare monthly journals for interest and finance leases Review and sign off standard monthly journals (e.g. depreciation, accruals, prepayments, etc)
• Reconcile intercompany accounts
• Review monthly accounts for Japanese operations and post to ledger
• Review monthly accounts for US operations including intercompany recharge and post to ledger
• Assist with posting of transactions during busy times (e.g. month end) and cover during holiday/sickness
• Prepare monthly brand and cost reports
• Assist in completion of monthly commentaries
• Assist in the continued implementation of Agresso functionalities and reporting

Skills / Experience:

• You will have experience of preparing Group consolidated accounts.
• You will be an Accountant within a commercial finance function and will either be part qualified or qualified by experience.
• You will have strong academics
• Management experience will be an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge base coupled with acute commercial awareness
• Ability to think logically with proven problem solving capabilities
• Good organisational and motivational skills, including ability to organise and motivate others
• Excellent communication skills, the role is required to interact with people in various departments across the business and in different countries at all levels
• Proven ability to prioritise work and meet demanding deadlines, working quickly and accurately with tenacity and excellent attention to detail in a proactive manner
